the world of seeka says

Inside Seeka’s colourful play studio, a rainbow door reveals simple everyday objects—each one inspiring a musical routine, a social-emotional moment, or a playful challenge rooted in preschool developmental milestones.

This world is:

  • Safe
  • Predictable
  • Encouraging
  • Filled with wonder and agency

the host, seeka

Warm, silly, musical, and encouraging, Seeka speaks directly to preschoolers at their developmental level. Her tone is always:

  • Gentle
  • Musical
  • Empowering

She models how to try, how to practice, how to regulate, and how to celebrate small wins.

episode structure

00:00-01:00 - Opening Routine

Theme song, predictable greeting, welcome

01:00-02:00 - Rainbow Door Reveal

Like roulette, the colours of the rainbow light up in sequence to build anticipation. Then, only one door remains lit. Behind the door is an object (the same colour as the door) that sparks curiosity.

02:00-04:15 - Sing & Play

Music, movement, pattern, and rhythm play, based on the object found in the rainbow. This segment is highly interactive and curriculum-driven.

04:15-06:15 - Seeka Says (Simon Says)

Seeka leads a version of "Simon Says" (Seeka Says), set to music. Different actions each episode, but same music for predictability and comprehension.

06:15-07:00 - Goodbye Routine

Joyful, inviting closure and song or rhyme

Jessica “Seeka” Tyndale is an award-winning Canadian children’s artist, educator, and creator of the preschool series Seeka’s Skyway, currently airing on Telus Optik TV.

With over two decades as a music artist and ten years as an educator, Jessica brings both artistry and educational insight to her work. She holds a Master of Arts in Translation Studies and draws on her Jamaican heritage and lived experience as a mother of two to create content that is inclusive, engaging, and deeply attuned to the developmental world of young children.

Seeka's two musicals acts (Seeka Sings and Will & Seeka) have brought her to stages across Canada and abroad, including the Vancouver International Children's Festival, the Children's Festival of Saskatchewan, countless school and theatre shows, and more.

Seeka's approach centres on low-stimulation, play-based routines that support early learning, bilingual exposure, and social-emotional development. Every project she creates is rooted in the belief that all children deserve to feel seen, capable, and celebrated. Seeka works regularly with childhood development experts such as teachers, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists to develop content that is relevant and valuable.
